Our Grid Automation business is looking for a Sr. Manager, Commercial Operations to play a critical role in shaping successful negotiations and driving operational excellence across our commercial processes.

 

The Sr. Manager, Commercial Operations is a key partner to Sales, Legal, and Business Units, driving the successful negotiation and execution of commercial contracts and MSAs. This role enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of commercial operations by ensuring alignment with risk management processes and organizational standards. With a strong focus on operational excellence and thoughtful risk mitigation, the position strengthens deal strategy and supports customer-focused solutions across the Grid Automation business.

A Day In The Life

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and redline terms and conditions, assess commercial and contractual risks, and secure required Business Unit approvals.
  • Partner with customers and Grid Automation VP/GMs to support negotiations that maximize company value and growth.
  • Apply sound judgment to resolve complex issues and maintain momentum across the contracting lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Product teams to ensure timely, high-quality responses to customer T\&Cs.
  • Evaluate proposal risks and work with Proposal Management to deliver compelling, accurate proposal packages.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience negotiating commercial contracts within the energy or utilities sector, preferably with direct exposure to utility or energy markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Economics from an accredited institution.
  • Advanced proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and MSAs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
