Job Overview

Hubbell is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Sustainability to lead its Sustainability Analytics team. This role manages a team of seven Analysts and is responsible for environmental data management, sustainability performance tracking, and management reporting. This in-person role (hybrid schedule; T-W-Th required to be in office; shift from 12pm-9pm IST) will be based in Hubbell’s Kochi, India office. The position reports to Hubbell’s Sustainability Director.
A Day In The Life
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Manager, Sustainability will lead the Kochi-based Sustainability Analyst team and oversee the tracking, validation, and reporting of sustainability data. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the Kochi-based Sustainability Analyst team, including onboarding, training, and ongoing development.
- Support performance management and professional development of team members.
- Oversee monthly KPI reporting and quarterly trend analysis for management review.
- Maintain frequent communication with the Sustainability Director on day-to-day operations, challenges, and progress.
- Lead and continuously improve sustainability data collection processes, collaborating cross-functionally to enhance systems, procedures, and data quality.
- Develop, maintain, and improve data audit and assurance procedures, including supporting documentation.
- Oversee and support data validation activities conducted by the Sustainability Analyst team.
- Develop KPI dashboards and presentation materials for internal stakeholders.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- B.E. / B. Tech in Business, Operations, or Mechanical/Electrical/Environmental Engineering.
- 3–5 years of direct people management experience.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, data analysis, and Microsoft Excel; strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse, global workforce.
- Reporting and presentation skills; PowerPoint proficiency a plus.
- Experience in process design and continuous improvement preferred.
- Sustainability experience (in-house or consulting) preferred.
- Familiarity with Envizi, SAP, Power BI, and/or Capturis is a plus.
