Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Set up and operate Wire EDM and conventional sinker EDM along with all machine tools in a tool room environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Produce tooling components through verbal instructions, drawings, sketches, and machine programs
  • Working with close tolerances
  • Ability to use all inspection equipment
  • Capable of operating conventional tool room equipment
  • Create, edit, and interpret CAD/CNC programs:    Esprit and Solid works software preferred
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently, also including team environment
Skills and Experience
  • Experienced with Mitsubishi Wire EDM FA-10 preferred
  • 2 to 4 years tool room experience
  • 4 years Wire EDM and conventional EDM
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems
