Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Duties to include using a variety of chemical materials such as copper to coat surfaces of metal products/parts.  You will also be responsible for operating machinery designed to coat the products and monitor the process.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Machine set up and calibration
  • Order materials as needed
  • Maintain inventory of chemicals
  • Maintain plating tanks
  • Examines work pieces, nodules
  • Removes buildup from racks
  • Loads and unloads electroplating equipment
Skills and Experience
  • Ability to read and interpret tape measure or measuring devices
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing assembly experience preferred
  • Basic reading skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems
