Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

This position will have responsibility for plant facility maintenance and improvements with a focus on lean activities.  Typical duties include equipment repair and installation, troubleshooting, and fabrication.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to trouble shoot equipment problems
  • Ability to install and set up equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and Supervisors/Managers.
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • Electronic or light electrical is a plus.
  • Must have strong mechanical background
  • Experience in a production environment able to perform independently
  • Capable of working in a team environment

Skills and Experience

  • Requires 1-3 previous maintenance experience.
  • Must be familiar with portable power tool and machine tools such as drill press, bandsaw, cut-off saw and grinder.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.
  • Requires a basic knowledge of carpentry and pneumatics.


High School Diploma in Business
