Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview
  • Under direct supervision assist in the making of varistor blocks used in the assembly of high voltage surge arrestors.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Direct Hire $14.50hr to start, 6-month payrate progression .50 raises, $16.00hr at 18 months.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Paid Vacation after 6 months.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Medical/Dental.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">401k.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">$100 yearly paid Safety Toe reimbursement (mandatory wear).
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Mandatory overtime when need.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Overtime pay rate at 1.5x. Double-time pay rate 7th consecutive day of working 8hrs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Paid breaks.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Paid sick days.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Able to perform function of the grindline such as set-ups and adjustments per Process Specification and all operating procedures – Two Wheel Speedfam Thru Feed Grinder – Gardner Double Disc Grinder – Automatic Metallizers – Final Inspection.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Follow all safety rules and lock out tag out regulations for self and others.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Able to distinguish between good and out of spec product.
Skills and Experience
  • Perform basic tasks on a PC or tablet.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Work in hot and humid environment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Stand on your feet for extended period.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Lift up to 35 pounds.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Work in a fast-paced setting.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Operate a forklift/hand truck (we will train).
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Function in a team environment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Maintain a reliable attendance record.
