Job Overview
The Supervisor Test Automation oversees the daily activities of manufacturing electronic technicians who operate, maintain and support the auotmated test systems on the production floor.
A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:
- Supervise and support electronic technicians in the manufacturing automation team.
- Assign daily work, manage schedules and ensure appropriate staffing coverage
- Document Test Procedures for new and existing test equipment (jigs) to ensure proper use by production.
- Ensure automated test systems are operated correctly and consistently.
- Monitor test excecution, yields and failure trends, escalate as needed.
- Respond to and coordinate troubleshooting of test-related production issues to minimize downtown both in-house and at Contract Manufacturers.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering or Test Engineering to support test system maintenance, calibration and updates.
- Build duplicate test jigs to support production capacity.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Assoicates or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, or equivalent combination of eduction and experience.
- 4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing test environment.
- 2+ years of experience supervising or leading technicians in a production setting.
- Hands-on familiarity with automated test equipment and manufacturing operations.
