Job Overview

The Supervisor Test Automation oversees the daily activities of manufacturing electronic technicians who operate, maintain and support the auotmated test systems on the production floor.

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: 

  • Supervise and support electronic technicians in the manufacturing automation team.
  • Assign daily work, manage schedules and ensure appropriate staffing coverage
  • Document Test Procedures for new and existing test equipment (jigs) to ensure proper use by production.
  • Ensure automated test systems are operated correctly and consistently.
  • Monitor test excecution, yields and failure trends, escalate as needed.
  • Respond to and coordinate troubleshooting of test-related production issues to minimize downtown both in-house and at Contract Manufacturers.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering or Test Engineering to support test system maintenance, calibration and updates.
  • Build duplicate test jigs to support production capacity.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Assoicates or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, or equivalent combination of eduction and experience. 
  • 4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing test environment.
  • 2+ years of experience supervising or leading technicians in a production setting.
  • Hands-on familiarity with automated test equipment and manufacturing operations.
