Join our dynamic team at Hubbell / EIG, a leading innovator in electronic meter manufacturing. We are currently seeking a skilled Solderer , IPC certification a plus, and hands-on experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to help us continue delivering high-quality electronic solutions to our diverse clientele.

A Day In The Life

Perform soldering tasks on electronic components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with IPC 610 standards.

Rework Printed Circuit Boards to replace failed components based on technician input. This includes 0603 caps/resitors, IC’s, Connectors etc. Both thru hole and SMD devices.

Read and interpret assembly instructions, production orders, and follow verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify and rectify defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.

Operate and maintain SMT equipment, including setup, calibration, and rework to optimize production efficiency. Will train, familiar with automated equipment a plus but not necessary

What will help you thrive in this role?

Proven experience as a Solderer in an electronics manufacturing environment.

Current IPC-A-610 certification is a plus.

Good understanding of electronic components and assembly processes.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electronic assembly schematics.

Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Experience using SMT equipment and tools a plus

 

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in Electronics is a plus.
