Position Overview

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, this position is responsible to collaborate with Area Leaders to facilitate HR Processes with special focus on Employee Relations and Organizational Development. 
•    Formulates partnerships across the assigned areas to facilitate the delivery of valuable services to management and employees that reflect business needs.
•    Responsible for administration of the human resources employee relations, and organizational development areas will serve as a Business Partner at the Site. 
•    Oversees and audit SAP modules, and the processing of human resources personnel actions documentation that serve as supporting documents to the SAP system update and maintenance. 
•    As any other position within Hubbell Caribe Limited, as applicable, this position is also responsible for maintaining compliance with Company and statutory occupational safety and health, labor, benefits, regulations and practices, and quality product certifications: Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and compliance with the established Quality System as required by the International Standardization Organization (ISO).

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as a primary liaison to assign area leaders to support engagement activities, culture change, change management and employee relations aspects. Lead activities when necessary.
•    Serve as a key partner to site leader to support the changes and improvements necessary by investing in "human capital."
•    Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on employee relations investigations and report non conformances accordingly.
•    Become a key partner for leaders in HR processes such as, but not limited: talent management, succession planning analysis, performance management and compensation cycles, O/D assessment for non-exempts and salary levels.
•    Lead area initiatives to support a positive employee relations environment.
•    Lead investigations and recommends on time solutions in compliance with local and federal regulations.
•    Become a trust business partner for employees and leaders.
•    Provide direct assistance to assign area with all recruitment efforts and manning analysis.
•    Assess recruitment metrics on monthly basis.
•    Establish relationship with external agencies to support recruitment efforts.
•    Provide on time reports and metrics as needed such as: metrics, case analysis, demographic and headcount, turn over, among others.
•    Lead special projects to enforce policy attainment.
Under the guidance of the HR Director Analyzing business structures, procedures, processes, and the utilization of resources.
•    Designing and implementing a variety of developmental initiatives, action plans, programs, and training materials.
•    Interviewing personnel and facilitating targeted skills development initiatives.
•    Under the direction of HR manager support the succession planning exercise for assign levels.
•    Leading business optimization initiatives by conducting individual or group training sessions for personnel.
•    Contributing to the restructuring of departments to increase efficiency and align activities with business objectives.
•    Optimizing personnel utilization by increasing cross-functionality and interdepartmental collaboration.
•    Measuring the impact of interventions on staff performance, efficiency, employee retention, and job satisfaction.
•    Advising executives and senior managers and recommending efficient and cost-effective solutions for identified challenges on organizational development.
•    Documenting processes and presenting progress reports to executives and senior managers.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, major in Human Resources, preferably, Secretarial Sciences or related field.
•    Five (5)+ years of experience in Human Resources within a 300 or more employees’ organization or consulting firm. Manufacturing environment preferred.
•    Proficient knowledge on Puerto Rico and federal legislation.
•    Practical knowledge and experience working with management information systems with human resources modules, SAP preferred.
•    Computer and computer applications proficiency highly desirable, Microsoft Office a must.
•    Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in Spanish and English.
•    Ability to work independently in an environment where interruptions are routine and frequent.
•    Careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
•    Strong Collaboration and relationship building skills.
