Position Overview

Responsible for the planning, coordinating, reviewing, summarizing of information related to Business Planning, Profit Planning and Quarterly Updates for Hubbell Caribe Limited (“HCL”). Prepare monthly individual and product line financial statements. Evaluate and apply Personal Computer (“PC”) software programs for analysis of operational performance and report deviations to management. Review Authorization For Expenditure (“AFE”) submissions for accuracy, reasonableness and necessary paperwork. Furnish to management upon request, current projections for Sales, Profit, Cash Flow and other essential decision making data.

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and provide to Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems (“Platform”), in accordance with their required due dates, information for the Business Plan, Profit Plan and Quarterly Updates including but not limited to Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Return on Net Assets, Restructuring, Conversion Cost Per Hour, etc.
Prepare and monitor departmental budgets for Accounting and General Administration.
Evaluate “PC” software programs for financial analysis. Design and install financial applications using a combination of mainframe data and “PC” software. Train other users as required.
Measure actual performance against projections and history. Analyze the results and report significant deviations to management toward the goal of achieving “HCL” objectives.
Prepare and submit a weekly flash report, with major spending accounts.
Design and prepare reports required both internally and by “Platform” to track actual performance and measure against objectives.
Perform “AFE” analysis checking for reasonableness, proper numerical data and correct use of forms.
Assist in the implementation of budget reporting structure. Write policy and procedures to protect the integrity of those systems.
As required, assist Accounting area in year-end activities, annual physical inventories and other duties.
Perform reconciliation’s of payroll account and bank accounts.
Report daily production output, including labor and burden absorption.
Furnishing information necessary for preparing monthly journal entries.
Support continued compliance with all Sarbanes and Oxley (“SOX”) processes as well as any specific Hubbell Incorporated (“Corporate”) and its affiliates, including “HCL” and external audit needs.
Assumes additional duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.
