Position Overview

Responsible within an assigned geographic territory, for the sales of business unit products and services. Responsible for working with architects, consultants, engineers, property managers and institution in furthering the specifications of Hubbell products.  Development of strong relationships with channel partners, end users and contractors to secure loyalty and product preference for Hubbell products.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and Maintain Relationships
    1. Develop a strong network of contractors, end users and specfiers
    2. Apply product features and benefits to provide value add solutions
    3. Develop strong channel relationships and deliver high service to them
  2. Grow Sales
    1. Apply product features and benefits to provide value add solutions to customers
    2. Expand shelf space in the channel for stock goods
    3. Support price realization in the marketplace
    4. Understand market segments and verticals opportunities and penetrate them
    5. Manage the sales cylce on projects from specification to successful order placement
    6. Execute promotional, training and new product initiatives
    7. Collaborate with other Hubbell Canada LP sales people in other Business Units to expand sales
  3. Be a Resource to our Customers
    1. Learn the competitive advantages of our products and leverage them to win business
    2. Undertand the competitive strenghts and weaknesses
    3. Provide High Service and Fast response to customer enquiries
    4. Planning initiatives with channel partners
  4. Respresent Hubbell Canada LP professionally
    1. Integrity and Ethics
    2. Professional Image under all circumstances
    3. Participate and/or lead in local industry associations, tradeshows and events
  5. Metrics and Reporting
    1. Daily, weekly, monthly reporting as required
    2. Performance to quota planning and execution

 

Skills and Experience

Strong written and verbal communications skills.

 Must have strong Microsoft Office, e-mail and other PC application skills; Salesforce CRM.

 Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions.

 Works well in group problem solving situations

Education

Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing
