Hubbell Utility Solutions is looking for a Regional Vice President, Sales – West to lead a high-performing team, drive revenue growth, and expand our presence across Utility Gas and C&I markets.
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and develop a high‑performing sales team for Hubbell Gas (HGUS), a division of Hubbell Utility Solutions (HUS), with accountability for revenue growth, talent development, operational effectiveness, and market expansion. The role represents both Utility Gas and Commercial & Industrial markets, with a strong emphasis on building and sustaining end‑user relationships while supporting and expanding established and emerging distribution channels. Success in this position requires close engagement with customers, prospects, and employees to understand the competitive landscape, evolving market trends, and product development needs. Candidates should be based in a major metropolitan area within the Western United States.
A Day In The Life

Drive regional sales growth by consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and annual revenue targets through disciplined execution, clear prioritization, and effective territory management.

Lead and develop a high‑performing commercial sales organization across the Western U.S. by setting quotas, coaching in the field, identifying development opportunities, and addressing performance gaps with accountability.

Develop and execute annual regional sales plans focused on Utility Gas market opportunities, applying data‑driven insights and the 80/20 principle to maximize impact.

Build and sustain strong distributor and customer partnerships through targeted engagement strategies, regular communication, quarterly business reviews, inventory oversight, and support on credit‑related matters.

Maintain strong technical and competitive expertise across the product portfolio, including applicable codes, standards, installation practices, and regional competitive intelligence.

Collaborate closely with Inside Sales and cross‑functional leadership to support pricing execution, program implementation, follow‑up activity, and timely resolution of internal and external requests.

Travel regularly throughout the territory to support key customers, reinforce distributor relationships, and coach sales team members to ensure consistent execution and long‑term growth.

- Partner with leadership to develop and execute annual regional strategies, identifying high-value opportunities across Utility Gas and C&I markets while effectively prioritizing time and resources.
- Lead the execution of targeted engagement strategies for priority distributors and end users.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of territory dynamics and maintain a forward-looking approach to driving incremental sales growth.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience, with a minimum of 5+ years leading sales teams across large, multi-state territories
- Ability to travel up to 70%
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a proven commercial sales background
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to align regional execution with broader company objectives, including product launches, promotions, sales programs, and portfolio strategies
