Job Overview
Plant Manager is responsible for the activities of manufacturing, purchasing, quality, planning (supply chain), and project management of the organization and aids in formulating and administering organization policies.
A Day In The Life

- Participating in formulating/administering company policies and developing long range goals/objectives.
- Directing/coordinating activities of the responsible departments on a day-to-day basis to ensure that daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives are met.
- Ensuring internal auditing for compliance with the ISO standards applicable.
- Driving cost reduction (productivity) planning and execution in accordance with the financial plan.
- Providing authorization for funds to ensure responsible fiduciary spending in accordance with financial policies.
- Reviewing/analyzing activities related to costs, operations, CAPEX, and forecast data to determine progress toward financial goals and objectives and considering the long-range impact of growing the business and adjusting actions to ensure compliance.
- Overseeing the budget/forecast processes as well as ongoing monitoring to ensure compliance.
- Conferring with other senior personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status/conditions.
- Developing plans and executing actions to meet the decision upon actions.
- Providing oversight and coordination to other business in Operations related matters to drive consistency among the businesses.
- Participating in due diligence process as requested.
- Developing succession planning strategies in coordination with HR to ensure continuation of leadership/individual contributor roles going forward.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (required)
- 15+ years of relevant operations experience (required)
- 10+ years of experience as a Senior Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or a similar role, preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- 10+ years of experience with TPM and SAP
- Welding, Fabricating, Warehouse & Logistics experience
- Operational Excellence or Lean Certification
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Staff development and engagement skills
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred
