Job Overview

This position is responsible for troubleshooting issues preventing customer orders from being released and shipped from the distribution center for fulfillment. The Analyst plays an essential role in ensuring Hubbell successfully delivers on the commitments we make to our valued customers. This role will work directly with Customer Service, Distribution Center, and other groups for direction and approval for proposed resolutions with backlog fulfillment.  

A Day In The Life

  • On a weekly basis analyze actual demand data from IBP, focusing on exceptions (outliers)
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare reports and forecast data for reviews, select the best statistical forecast models, solicit inputs, make recommendations, and evaluate forecast accuracy results.
  • Adjust and firm the demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales and Marketing and Materials Management to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing projections
  • Define, report and process designs that lead to process simplification, standardization, and enhanced business planning
  • Ensure SAP is driving purchasing and manufacturing demand accurately to fulfill the forecast.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • 4-year degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent
  • APICS CPIM certification OR commitment to achieve certification while employed is preferred
  • 2 years Forecasting, Demand Planning, Production Planning or Supply Chain Management experience- preferred
    • Manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong computer skills required:
    • MS Office, especially Excel (intermediate level) & Teams
    • Power BI or other Reporting software
    • PowerPoint
  • Some travel (up to 20%) may be required.
