Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible of implementation, processes creation and procedures of production; projects leader to improve efficiency and productivity, based on actions to reduce waste, assure ergonomy, quality and cost of operation. 
Principal functions: 
• Technical support to production department. 
• Responsible for evaluating failure modes in the process, reduce and eliminate risks. 
• Cell design/layouts for production according demand and model type. 
• Support to departments like, planning and purchasing, for hardware material substitutes and creation or rework sheets.  
• Give support to NPD in implementation to new products.  
•  Validation and design of security devices for protection equipment of production. 
•Communication bridge between production and product engineering, in order to product design improvement. 
• Design and creation, of tools and poka yokes.  
• Leader and administrator of improvements projects.    
• Creation of visual aids and work instructions.  
• Responsible of documentation for reworks, conversions, work methods and material substitutes.

Skills and Experience

• Electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, mechatronic, industrial or related engineering.     
• Lean Bronze Certification (preferred: VSM, Balancing, Pokayoke, SMED, etc.). 
• Knowledge of root cause analysis. 
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar position, directing work teams in manufacturing processes. 
•Knowledge of research methodologies and statistical analysis. 
• Experience on blueprints readings. 
•Knowledge of process control methods in the industry. 
•Orientation of customer service, problem solving and sense of urgency.
