Job Overview
The HR Generalist is responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring, interviewing, benefits and enforcing company policies and practices. This role will be responsible for partnering with plant leadership to deliver a high-performance culture, promoting ownership, goal attainment and continuous learning and improvement at all levels of plant. Serve as a resource to provided customer service support to employees by responding to employee inquiries, and questions. Responsibilities will include providing information regarding company policies, procedures, and programs; processing request /documents; and updating HR systems while ensuring efficient delivery of customer service to employees.

A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:
- Provide comprehensive support to divisional HR Business Partners across various locations.
- Assist in the recruitment lifecycle, including posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and facilitating onboarding.
- Maintain and update employee records with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for new hires.
- Support the creation and maintenance of the monthly HR scorecard and other reporting tools.
- Prepare and process complex HR documentation such as employment contracts, promotions, and terminations.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to drive employee engagement initiatives and enhance organizational culture.
- Support leaders by managing action item prioritization, tracking deadlines, and responding to inquiries.
- Assist in the development, rollout, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the optimization of HR processes and systems.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- A college degree in Business, HR or a related field preferred
- Two years of previous HR experience (required)
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Highly effective communication skills and a positive attitude
- Proven time management skills: ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively
- Exceptional judgment and common sense, demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing employee-centric solutions
- Results-oriented with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment
- Process improvement and data analytical skills preferred
