Position Overview

 

At Aclara Technologies LLC, a division of Hubbell Utility Solutions (HUS), we help utilities manage change, seek new approaches, and harness data and new technologies to supply more efficient and reliable services to their customers. As an end-to-end, smart infrastructure solutions (SIS) partner we couple innovative technology with data-driven solutions to predict, plan and respond to system conditions across electric, gas or water distribution networks.

 

Support development of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) for high volume electronic products associated with the Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) industry. Contribute to the development of documentation and PCBA deliverables from concept to production launch.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Assist in the development of PCB Assemblies by making contributions in the following areas:

  • PCBA bring up for prototypes and new designs
  • Documentation of electrical functional specifications, requirements, and board bring up procedures
  • Data capture for RF Simulation of PCBAs and associated antennas

Skills and Experience

 

  • Student must be enrolled in an accredited university
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is desired, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results-driven, accuracy, thoroughness and timeliness
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience or coursework in circuit or RF analysis.
  • Must have completed sophomore year at the time of internship and pursuing a BSEE.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics
