Position Overview

  • Responsible for responding by phone or email, to Sales Representative, Distributor, and Customer’s requests, concerns, and/or complaints.
  • Researches and resolves complaints to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Maintains direct contact with numerous departments within HES, outside Sales Representatives, and multiple channels of distribution.
  • Must thoroughly understand the company’s products and their applications or have extensive customer service background.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of Customer Service.
  • Assist the team in reaching responsiveness goals of 95% or higher to answer within 4 hours.
  • Authorize credits and returns up to authority allowance.
  • Assist in hiring and reviewing of direct reports.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manages difficult and more complex issues that have been escalated from Coordinators.
  • Oversees and provides as necessary information for routine technical support on product application, electrical data, drawings, part numbers, competitive substitutions, etc.
  • Interfaces directly with other departments and other HES facilities to resolve problems and to accomplish delivery requirements and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepares reports and presents statistical data for monthly staff meetings. 

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to answer sales representative and customer’s questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Must be assertive and independent with good motivational skills.
  • Must be an excellent communicator.
  • Must be able to work well where a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • PC skills require working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel programs.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
