Job Overview
The financial analyst is responsible for accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of the Electrical Products business unit financials. This role reports to the Sr. Financial Analyst and interfaces regularly with the EP Accounting Manager. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for working with several other brands in the EP team, while ensuring that internal customer requirements are satisfied on a routine basis. Consistently provide management updates and analysis, including reporting and analysis of commissions, programs, and incentives. Key contributor across various functions in the Electrical Products business unit.
A Day In The Life
- Monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting in support of business unit results.
- Assist with monthly financial close of business units and platform.
- Manage and track customer programs, incentives, and accrual.
- Key involvement in month-end close processes: journal entries, adjustments, reconciliations, etc.
- Work with finance team to design and implement new/updated procedures.
- Support internal and external audit request as necessary.
- Analyze and comment on monthly actual variance to forecast for programs and commissions
- Communication with all levels of the organization required reporting objectives
- Other duties as assigned by manager
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Possess a broad knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and interpretation of financial results
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel pivot tables, Powerpoint, Access, Word and Outlook
- Familiar with SAP, OneStream, or other integrated ERP systems including Business Warehouse reporting
- Ability to work well with others in a diverse organization
- Highly organized with an ability to work well under tight time constraints
- Self‐starter who is able to work independently and execute projects effectively
- Minimum of two to four years in a multi-company environment
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
