Position Overview

Aclara Technologies, LLC has an opening for a Director, Portfolio Management in St. Louis, MO.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute during RFP/RFI process representing the Professional Service’s program-level methodologies and key details on engineering/technology delivery.
  • Participate in presales engagements by providing detailed, deep-dive technical presentations of the Petitioner’s Professional Services operation and its delivery approach. Lead the development and upkeep of program-level dashboards representing KPIs relevant to the Petitioner’s strategies.
  • Help set the priorities and technical direction as to best facilitate the success of individual projects and the portfolio as a whole. Serve as initial point of escalation for project issues and risks and leverage experience and best practice toward resolution and recovery planning.
  • Drive internal escalation and recovery plans for product or delivery issues having impact on the projects. Foster a team dynamic that allows project leads the ability to run independently yet consistently meeting company expectation and program goals.
  • Lead strong internal support and excellent client relationships through collaboration, timely communications and expectation setting.
  • Provide review and approval for individual implementation plans, change orders and no-cost orders as needed for projects.
  • Take ownership of contracts to the extent measurable KPIs and milestones are pertinent for project and ultimately program success.
  • Contribute to sales opportunities by providing effort, cost and other input into SOWs, etc.
  • Quickly learn product sufficient to demonstrate reasonable product knowledge.
  • Author and evangelize the commercial aspect of the Professional Services methodology, sharing via presentations at trade shows or conferences. 100% remote; may work from home; up to 30% domestic travel

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Information Sciences, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a related quantitative field and at least 5 years of progressive experience managing complex project delivery. 
  • Must also possess the following: at least 5 years of experience in a project management office (part of or peered with a customer); at least 3 years in/with Electric Utility Experience; at least 2 years of experience in/with integrating AMI headend and meter data management systems with Electric Utility customer care/information systems, asset management, meter data management, ADMS, outage management, and other energy efficiency and profiling platforms.
