Job Overview

At our Aclara facility in Solon, OH, we are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Supervisor to lead a dynamic team in coordinating assembly, test, package, and warehouse operations. This role is key to driving continuous improvement in product quality, process efficiency, and team performance. You’ll provide direct leadership, ensure production goals are met, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration.

The ideal candidate brings at least three years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, a strong foundation in lean manufacturing, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

A Day In The Life

  • Lead and manage a production work cell, coordinating workloads and supporting team members to meet production targets, KPIs, and quality standards.
  • Ensure efficient use of people and resources while maintaining adherence to standard work procedures and safety protocols.
  • Champion 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and lead by example.
  • Support work order closures and stock control transactions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production issues, keeping leadership informed throughout.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to grow your leadership capabilities.
  • Assist in performance management, including coaching, corrective actions, and attendance tracking.
  • Maintain and communicate production metrics, sharing results across various levels of the organization.
  • Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and non-conformities, ensuring timely action closure.
  • Collaborate with Production Scheduling to align shift production plans.
  • Foster a respectful, team-oriented culture through positive leadership and accountability.

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP or ability to learn and execute transactions.
  • Proven ability to lead and contribute to a team-oriented setting.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
