Job Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic and proactive Senior Manager of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to join our dynamic team. As a Product Owner, you will be instrumental in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of PLM initiatives across the organization. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, leadership prowess, and a deep understanding of engineering and technology PLM functionality and capability. You will be responsible for integrating advanced PLM solutions that enhance product development processes, improve collaboration among engineering teams, and leverage cutting-edge technologies to streamline the entire product lifecycle.
 

A Day In The Life

  • Define and champion the PLM strategy and roadmap, aligning with the company’s overall business objectives and technological advancements.
  • Own the PLM platform, including the evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of PLM tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to integrate PLM solutions that enhance product development processes.
  • Lead the PLM team, setting clear goals and expectations, and fostering an environment of accountability and excellence.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PLM process, leveraging feedback and performance metrics to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Manage the PLM project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and resource availability.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to product development and lifecycle management.
  • Develop and manage the PLM budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in PLM and related fields, and assess their potential impact on the organization.
     

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product lifecycle management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successful PLM tool implementation and management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive team performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the product development process and integration points with PLM systems.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources in a corporate setting.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertinent to product development and lifecycle management.
