Position Overview

Position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing company-wide monthly financial results, forecasts and annual operating plan (AOP), with particular focus on the Income Statement.  The Senior Financial Analyst will also work with the Hubbell Senior Executive team, Segment Finance and Corporate Accounting/Tax on various analysis/projects. Position reports to the Vice President of FP&A.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing Board of Director presentations and support material
  • Preparing material for Executive Management monthly updates
  • Preparing monthly Segment level P&L analysis
  • Developing and maintaining standard reporting templates
  • Reviewing quarterly forecast / IVA submissions for completeness/accuracy
  • Developing spreadsheets for P&L and expense modeling purposes
  • Providing analysis of various expense items (i.e. Restructuring, tariffs, etc.)
  • Assisting in working capital and cash flow analysis and reviews
  • Working with Power BI team as needed to develop standardized reporting mechanisms
  • Performing various ad hoc requests for Corporate leadership
  • Assisting with longer-term Strategic Plan modeling

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years' of experience 
  • Experience in both Corporate Accounting and Financial Planning preferred

 

Other Skills:

 

  • Proficient knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or other consolidation and planning software
  • Familiarity with other ERP software such as SAP is preferable
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be organized and have the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Must possess a high level of professional maturity given interaction with senior executives
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and utilize decision making skills
  • Must be familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
