Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Center of Excellence (CoE) Accountant and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial operations of a multi-national, billion-dollar corporation!
In this crucial position, you'll oversee general accounting activities performed by our Shared Service Center (SSC), ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting our CoE Accounting Manager.
A Day In The Life
- Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Complete key account reconciliations and journal entries prepared by the SSC, ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate. Address any exceptions or questions as they arise.
- Monitor Spending: Keep track of corporate department spending to ensure all costs are accurately captured within the correct accounting period.
- Simplification and Technology Utilization: Leverage knowledge of systems and technology to drive efforts towards simplifying processes and minimizing non-value-added activities. Collaborate with SSC to implement these improvements across various groups.
- Ensure Policy Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to existing company policies and procedures.
- Process Evaluation and Improvement: Regularly evaluate existing processes and perform analyses to identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and cost savings.
- Collaboration for Improvement: Work closely with senior COE team members to identify and implement process, automation, and standardization enhancements across all business units.
- Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: Oversee and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, focusing on internal control documentation and testing.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary support for both internal and external compliance audits.
- Special Projects: Participate in and manage other special projects as needed.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3 - 5 Years of Experience: Proficient in accounting, auditing, and related fields.
- Understanding of US GAAP: Solid knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Experience in a Large Corporation: Proven track record in a multi-national corporation with revenues exceeding $1 billion.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication abilities.
- Advanced Analytical and Organizational Skills:
- Expertise in synthesizing information, using sound judgment, and formulating valuable conclusions.
- Ability to articulate recommendations clearly and meaningfully.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in developing graphs, tables, presentations, and templates to convey information effectively.
- Efficiency Under Pressure: Capable of working well under tight time constraints.
- Detail-Oriented: Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to collaborate across all organizational levels, departments, and groups.
