Position Overview

This role will support the Hubbell Wiring Systems business to determine and set competitive prices to gain market share and achieve revenue goals. This is a highly analytical role that requires a pricing analyst to consider data from multiple sources and develop complex pricing models that reflect margins for promotional and seasonal pricing based on competitor, market, and customer data.

Duties and Responsibilities


Determine Pricing and Marketing Strategies

  • Determine competitive pricing strategies to gain market share and achieve revenue goals
  • Analyze data from multiple sources, develop pricing models for key market
  • Work with VP of Pricing and Markets, field sales and product marketing to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies
  • Support (return on investment) for existing marketing and promotional programs - same as previous item – the analyst is the math/model person – this is your role


Develop Forecasts and Models - Financial

  • Model pricing per sku at a regional level in the US (across our 4 US Regions)
  • Measure sku level margin to determine strategies to increase margin and work with Negative Margin SKU team to improve in identified areas
  • Forecast revenue, volume and market share information at product family level


Develop Pricing Tools

  • Using Quotes, Salesforce and other tools, develop a regional view of competitor pricing
  • Streamline the analysis process


Monitor Industry Trends

  • Identify trends affecting volume or profitability – always seeking improvement
  • Monitor competitor behavior

Skills and Experience


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency working with Excel required, SAP experience a plus
  • Effective communicate skills both oral and written
  • Ability to analyze data and details and synthesize to an action plan
  • Working understanding of sales and marketing to develop Pricing models
  • Ability to implement solutions with speed




Bachelors Degree in Business or Economics
