Job Overview
Provide leadership, direction, and operational oversight to the Premise Inside Sales Account Management team to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality support of customer inquiries, quotations, order processing, and technical assistance.
This role is specifically tailored to support the Premise Inside Sales team, ensuring alignment with product lines, customer expectations, and sales strategies within the Datacom business unit.
The Supervisor works in close partnership with the Manager of Customer Service to align service levels, resolve escalations, improve processes, and ensure a seamless customer experience across sales and service functions.
The Supervisor is responsible for driving team performance, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring effective coordination between inside sales, field sales, operations, and customer service to maximize customer satisfaction, sales growth, and profitability.
A Day In The Life
- Lead, coach, and develop Premise Account Managers and Inside Sales Representatives.
- Recruit, hire, train, and create work instructions for Inside Sales roles.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team culture aligned with business priorities.
- Monitor workload distribution and ensure proper coverage across the Inside Sales team.
- Maintain consistent processes and alignment with supported departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure effective handling of customer inquiries including orders, quotations, technical support, returns, complaints, and account-specific issues.
- Strengthen customer relationships to support retention and growth.
- Partner with the Manager of Customer Service to align on coaching practices, service expectations, service levels, and escalation trends.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure aligned support and avoid duplication of effort.
- Support follow-up on key quotations, sales opportunities, and w-specific initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership across Customer Service, Sales, and Operations on strategic initiatives.
- Identify and act on improvement opportunities related to service delivery and performance trends.
