Position Overview

Hubbell is seeking a Manager, Benefit Engagement and Efficiency to join our US Benefit Department in Shelton CT. This is a key role supporting Hubbell’s US Benefit Programs, program engagement and identifying/implementing program efficiency improvements. The role will work closely with our 30+ Benefit partners as well as coordinating across internal departments for improvements and implementations.


The role spends approximately 70% of time on Health and Wellbeing benefits and approximately 30% on Retirement plan related work. The role will focus on a rolling short term (2-3 year) engagement and efficiency management, with influence on long term program strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participate in defining program targets. Partner with Health, Wellbeing and Retirement leads to define program goals and targets to drive ROI / VOI evaluation.
  • Identify engagement gaps. Identify gaps and opportunities in relation to set ROI / VOI targets and develop action plans for closing these gaps. Lead related work such as communications campaigns, training events, new service integrations, partner evaluations etc.
  • Identify efficiency gaps. Work closely with internal and external teams to identify improvement opportunities, support prioritization of projects and coordinate improvement projects and related training. Related work includes interface implementations, process evaluation/remapping, contract evaluation, RFI/ RFP work etc.
  • Lead projects for new integrations and efficiency improvements. Lead work across internal departments and external service providers to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate Merger / Acquisition integrations across benefits. Coordinate due diligence work and eventual benefit integrations across benefit departments.
  • Create and maintain vendor relationships. Follow meeting/ evaluation cadence and ensure performance SLAs are properly evaluated and met.
  • Create and maintain internal relationships. Understanding employee population needs, field HR needs, internal business needs etc. Solicit feedback to ensure all stakeholder needs are understood and addressed as needed.
  • Support Benefit Communications. Support the development and creation of various benefit communications and training materials. Liaise with Internal Communications to ensure alignment.
  • Other tasks/projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to synthesize vast amounts of information

  • Project and vendor management
  • Experience leading training events
  • Bachelor’s degree in business with HR concentration preferred
  • 5-10 years or Health and Welfare, Wellbeing and/or Retirement plan experience
  • 5-10 years of leading benefit projects, implementing and administering all benefits plans for large organizations
  • Proficient with Microsoft programs including Word and Excel
  • Experience with SAP, ADP and Ceridian preferred


Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business
Masters Degree in Communication or Healthcare
