Job Overview

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue by selling products and services over the phone or through online channels. This position involves engaging potential customers, understanding their needs, and pitching suitable solutions while maintaining strong relationships to achieve sales targets.

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: 

  • Identifying and reaching out to potential customers through various channels to generate sales leads.
  • Engaging with prospects to understand their needs, discuss product/service features, and offer solutions that align with their requirements.
  • Conducting product/service demonstrations and presentations via phone, video, or webinars to showcase benefits and features to potential customers.
  • Negotiating terms, prices, and contracts to close sales deals while addressing customer queries and objections effectively.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers by providing post-sales support, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction to foster repeat business and referrals.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deals in progress for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Working closely with the sales team, marketing, and other departments to align strategies and achieve overall sales objectives.
  • Continuously updating knowledge about products/services, market trends, and competitors to effectively position offerings and address customer needs.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • High School Diploma; Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (required)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding sales techniques and strategies
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong ability to build and foster customer relationships (required)
  • Calmness under pressure and maintain records in timely and accurate manner
