Division Overview

Position Overview

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Based in Shelton, CT and reporting directly to the Vice President, Finance Hubbell Commercial and Industrial, the Director, Finance will serve as a key member of the Hubbell Finance leadership team and have responsibility for accurate, timely, transparent financial planning, forecasting and analysis for the Wiring Systems business. This position will work closely with the Wiring Systems General Manager and functional teams, as well as the rest of the HCI executive team.    

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This high-profile role will also provide strategic and tactical leadership to the financial planning and analysis activities, implement planning and budgeting in a manner designed to meet reporting requirements, provide timely, meaningful reporting of the business units within Wiring Systems and help Management evaluate financial resource allocation, areas of focus for improvement, and how external factors may affect the financial results of the business.   

Duties and Responsibilities

 Oversee the development of the budgets, forecasts and supporting analysis
· Working with the Wiring Systems executive management team and the product line managers to drive forecast accuracy and accountability
· Evaluate and analyze restructuring efforts to optimize the footprint and reduce overall fixed costs  
· Develop and manage the financial reporting package. Anticipate and inform on large potential impacts to financials
· Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances
· Provide accurate and timely financial recommendations for decision making purposes
· Implement business intelligence tools and dashboard reports
· Assist in development of Executive level presentations on business results, performance analysis, financial models, forecasts and budgets, etc.
· Assess and collaborate to drive strategic initiatives, including due diligence on M&A transactions
· Perform customer profitability and product line profitability analysis
· Analyze and help drive the pricing strategy
· Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive FP&A processes to improve clarity and consistency
· Collaborate with operational accounting on reporting requirements and best practice sharing
· Analyze and understand the key drivers of the following areas; (Operating Profit, Cash, Capex, Working Capital, ROIC) including the effects of volume, pricing, cost reductions, etc.
· Understand the impact that market forces have on the business and works with the Wiring Systems leadership team and other personnel to determine appropriate strategies
· Review and develop commercial agreement analysis 
· Excellent interpersonal skills to partner and collaborate across the organization

Skills and Experience
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Senior finance professional with 15+ years experience in a variety of finance leadership positions
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience with U.S. multi-national public manufacturing company
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree, MBA preferred
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Public accounting experience / CPA preferred
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and SAP BI a plus
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proven ability to lead, manage and develop all levels of finance team
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong communication and influencing skills, ability to lead large scale initiatives and projects with both local and executive management; ability to collaborate and communicate with others
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Demonstrated experience interfacing regularly with professionals at all levels of the organization, from manufacturing floor to senior executive office
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Willingness and ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">An emphasis on Functional Excellence to ensure accuracy and the development of financial acumen within the Finance function
