Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the accuracy and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of the HCI Group & business unit’s financials. Assist the Director of FP&A in providing management updates and analysis, including validation of monthly actual, forecast and planning objectives. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Constantly analyze information and provide management a summary of the key takeaways
  • Monthly, Quarterly internal financial reporting in support of Group results and adhoc analysis
  • Assist with monthly financial close of business units
  • Coordinate monthly forecasts/plan loads and resolve daily reporting issues
  • Responsible for Hyperion data, validation and communication with Business Unit Controllers
  • Assist Business Units in problem solving of Hyperion system and data issues
  • Assist in monthly forecasting review and validation of submitted business unit data
  • Assist with annual business plan objectives, reporting and analysis
  • Review the impact of foreign currency, free cash flow and trade working capital changes
  • Prepare monthly operating reviews and other management presentations
  • Communication with all levels of the organization required reporting objectives
  • Review capital appropriation requests and financial analysis
  • Develop mapping and integration of acquisitions

Skills and Experience

  • Strong Proficiency in MS Excel pivot tables, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Proficient in Hyperion HFM, Planning, Essbase and adhoc reporting
  • Familiar with SAP or other integrated ERP systems including Business Warehouse
  • Minimum of five to seven years in a multi company environment
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Two or more years of manufacturing experience in finance or accounting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Communication)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Functional Excellence)
  • Highly organized with an ability to work well under tight time constraints (Results Driven
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
  • Possess a broad knowledge of accounting, budgeting, cost/variance analysis, and interpretation of financial results in a manufacturing environment

Education

Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
