Job Overview

Are you ready to lead a technical manufacturing team and drive excellence in injection molding operations? We are looking for a Supervisor, Injection Molding who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about developing people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional results in safety, quality, and productivity. This role supervisors Process Technicians and Mold Technicians within the injection molding department and supports daily production operations while driving process optimization, equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and employee development.

This position is primarily a first shift position Monday – Friday but will require occasional coverage on 2nd and 3rd shift as the supervisor will have employees that work on all 3 shifts.  OT will be required as needed.

A Day In The Life

Process & Production Operations

  • Oversee and coordinate daily injection molding process activities to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Provide direct leadership and supervision of Process Technicians and Mold Technicians.
  • Monitor process performance and optimize molding parameters.
  • Support new product launches and process transfers into production.
  • Support planning and production mold change schedule

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Process Technicians and Mold Technicians
  • Provide training related to processing, troubleshooting, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Facilitate cross-training and employee development.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe work environment and OSHA compliance.
  • Promote safety awareness and conduct accident investigations as needed.

Maintenance, Tooling & Equipment Reliability

  • Partner with Maintenance and Tooling teams to improve equipment reliability.
  • Support troubleshooting and preventative maintenance programs.

Continuous Improvement & Engineering Support

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, scrap reduction, and efficiency.
  • Support engineering projects and process development efforts.

Quality

  • Ensure products consistently meet quality requirements.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or technical training preferred.
  • 5+ years of injection molding or manufacturing experience.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, Lean Manufacturing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work throughout a manufacturing environment.
