The Quality Engineer will provide Quality Assurance, Quality Systems and Supplier Quality support for the manufacturing location of the Enclosure Business Unit.  Additional support to be provided for Continuous Improvement within the organization.

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: 

•    Monitor, Audit, and Evaluate Production Processes
•    Build and maintain Quality Assurance programs throughout the Production Operations
•    Monitor compliance with Quality System requirements identified in ISO 9000 and company procedures
•    Management of Calibration Systems, Tooling and Instrumentation
•    Lead and/or participate in problem Solving and Troubleshooting activities
•    CAPA involvement: initiate corrective and preventive actions as required and ensure actions taken are effective
•    Participate in quality improvement teams and material review control boards as assigned
•    Use metrology equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and other advanced measuring techniques in the assessment of part/process quality

What will help you thrive in this role?

•    Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical or Electoral Engineering preferred
•    3 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
•    Proven problem solving and product investigation skills
•    Excellent verbal and communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills
•    Experience in writing and revising procedures, work instructions, forms, visual aids etc.
•    Experience working within an ISO 9001 registered or equivalently certified QMS
•    Ability to travel up to 10%; both domestic and international.
