Job Overview
The FRP Process Engineer is a "hands-on" position that plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processes to produce high quality fiberglass reinforced products. The FRP Process Engineer is responsible for coordinating the manufacturing efforts on new project launches, establishing and supporting manufacturing processes, and driving continuous process improvement projects. This position also mentors and/or trains junior engineers, process technicians, and maintenance personnel.

A Day In The Life
• Develop new processes, troubleshoot production issues, and implement technical solutions to improve quality / efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, process technicians, and other molding operations personnel.
• Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure that processes and procedures are clearly stated and understandable for all employees. Provide daily technical support to manufacturing operations.
• Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine or material issues.
• Monitor and report issues with equipment/processes, making recommendations for refurbishment based on production factors.
• Works with Quality Assurance to uphold standards and improve capabilities.
• Establish guidelines, standards and develop training matrix.
• Utilizes data to implement strategic planning to increase productivity.
• Indirectly manage flow of operation through input to area supervisor.
What will help you thrive in this role?
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years practical work experience in a resin based business, (FRP preferred).
• CAD experience and familiarity with tool design
• MS Office software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects with limited management direction.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead others including indirect supervision of molding Process Technicians
