Job Overview

As an Applications Engineer at Pcore Electric Company/Reuel, you will play a key role in supporting the design, application, and integration of epoxy insulating products for OEMs and utility customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are met with technically sound and cost-effective solutions, while also supporting product development and field applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Seek opportunities for the application of existing and custom products for utility and industrial applications.
  • Interpret and analyze customer specifications to recommend appropriate bushings, insulators, or custom products.
  • Provide technical support to sales, marketing, and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, datasheets, and application notes.
  • Support product testing, validation, and troubleshooting in collaboration with design and quality teams.
  • Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and technical training sessions.
  • Stay current with industry standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI) and contribute to internal compliance efforts.
  • Collaborate with R&D and design engineering on new product development and enhancements.
  • Provide a network for communicating with the sales force and product specialists for support of new product needs and understanding.
  • Work trade shows and travel as needed to call on customers, etc.

Qaulifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in applications or design engineering, preferably in the power or utility sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, power systems, and utility standards.
  • Strong product financial understanding and evaluation skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer support and field activities.
