Job Overview
Build upper level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor based systems. Modify standard communications equipment and fabricate custom equipment to meet the customer's special requirements.
A Day In The Life
- Primary: Manufacture upper level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor based systems:
- assemble components used to make sub-assemblies;
- install panels upper level sub-assemblies;
- assemble access panels;
- perform detailed wiring.
- Secondary: Fabricate and/or modify products:
- page/party stations;
- printed circuit boards;
- cable assemblies;
- wiring harnesses;
- wire wrap boards;
- relay panels;
- cabinet sub-assemblies;
- cabinet assembly.
- Correct problems arising during fabrication and/or final testing of equipment.
- Lay out and fabricate custom metal work.
- Provide support/training to Technicians I, as needed.
- Review all documentation for potential errors and omissions.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five plus years of assembly experience and ability to follow written assembly procedures, assembly drawings, wire lists and wiring diagrams.
- GAI-Tronics product knowledge helpful.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. ;
- Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors.
