Job Overview

As part of the manufacturing expansion at our Center of Excellence in Portsmouth NH, the Quality Assurance Technician will play a critical role in identifying and communicating quality issues, and assisting in the improvement and implementation of the site Quality Program. This individual should be able to work as part of a team championing quality within our site while ensuring all elements of compliance every step of the way.

A Day In The Life

  • Conduct visual and functional inspections/audits on finished goods to verify that quality, production and customer requirements are being met.
  • Document and maintain product test data in the appropriate databases.
  • Oversee the Calibration Program. Duties include:
    • Maintain the Calibration database, ensuring equipment is calibrated by due dates.
    • Coordinate on-site and outside calibration with vendors.
    • Perform Calibration and Round Robin testing on 10-15 onsite meter test panels.
    • Review and approve test panel calibration data from Contract Manufacturers and issue certificates.
    • Provide calibration data slides for the Quality Management Review process.
  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and some Incoming Inspection for NPI related materials.
  • Initiate NCR for nonconforming materials and hold a weekly Material Review Board (MRB) meeting as needed.
  • Assist the Quality Team with investigations in response to internal and external product/process nonconformances.
  • Support the Quality Team in maintaining site ISO 9001:2015 certification.
  • Assist with document review and revision as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • 1-3 years prior experience as a Quality Technician within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 registered or equivalently certified QMS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
