Position Overview
  • Ensures that all customer inquiries are handled expeditiously and correctly.
  • Acts proactively and with efficiency in translating customer needs that cannot be resolved within customer service.
  • Keeps Regional VP’s and Sales Managers informed about Rep/customer issues while maintaining the responsibility for resolution.
  • Communicates internally on all product or job problems as they happen and documents the resolution when appropriate. This includes processing product and parts orders by establishing/verifying the correct BOM is ordered, assigning correct material codes and/or configurations in the SAP VC, establish fit & function for substitutions for ballasts, battery packs, night lights & special wiring, establishing commission level, and determining the appropriate parts necessary for installation.
  • Must be detail oriented and responsible for order accuracy prior to release into manufacturing.
  • Assists all customers (contractor, distributors, engineers, etc.) through any installation issue. Ability to read spec sheets and installation instructions.
  • Work with Quality Control, Engineering, Quotes, Warranty and field technicians when necessary to resolve problems as Tier One Support.
  • Processes orders for material related to problem resolution or as needed to minimize bottlenecks in order processing.
  • Qualify and process returns.
  • Qualify and process credits or commission adjustments as required.
  • Qualify and process warranty notifications in SAP/QN and warranty orders as required.
  • Assist customers with freight issues. This includes damaged and/or lost freight and replacement orders for such.
  • Communicate with the plants to assist customers with expedite and lead time requests.
  • Filing and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
