Job Overview
- Develop and maintain a thorough economic and technological knowledge of Oil & Gas market both offshore & onshore.
- Determine what approaches and methods to be utilized to profitably create demand & increase sales penetration in this market.
- Has responsibility for supporting and growing sales of targeted accounts, customer presentations, demonstrations, achieving standards/specification approvals and helping to develop marketing programs designed to gain market share.
- Maintain close contact with top customers to ensure alignment in strategy and New Product Development.
- Responsible for obtaining, maintaining, and communicating Hubbell Products written specifications at Carriers, Engineering Firms, EPC’s, Industrials, Contractors and other end users.
A Day In The Life
- Develop and maximize all opportunities for the Hubbell Harsh Hazardous Industrial (HHI) brands in the development of Oil and Gas Globally.
- Develop the Sales Strategy for the Project Managers, OEM’s, Contractors and End users that are driving the exploration, extraction and refinement of Oil and Gas products.
- Identify and define routes to market with Project Houses managing the development of new and existing Oil and Gas Projects.
- Build relationships with OEM’s, Project Houses and Major Contractors involved in the EPC for Oil and Gas.
- Secure business in the Supply Chains for the Oil and Gas Vertical.
- Maintain and develop route to market for brands via distribution, contractors, OEMs, and End users.
- Provide training and support to end users, EPC contractors and distributors within the Vertical to sustain and develop their knowledge of our brands including any in house training that may be required.
- Gather and communicate competitor’s products and strategies in the territory.
- Liaise with all HHI sales personnel and businesses in other regions as and when required.
- Responsible for working with Business Unit Leaders to help provide Market forecasts.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Business, Technical Discipline).
- Minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key decision makers.
- Relationship Management: Track record managing complex sales relationships in a technical environment.
- Computer Skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office and other PC application skills.
- Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
- Project Management: Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget.
- Travel as required.
