Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Planner Administrator our Pickering at 870 Brock Road for the day shift 3 to 6 months. Responsible for the planning and procurement of products from Hubbell affiliates and other third party vendors. These products are subsequently resold to Hubbell Canada customers (distributors) or in some cases consumed in manufactured goods.
A Day In The Life
1. Monitor and expedite, when necessary, the delivery of purchased parts and/or scheduling of manufactured goods in
relation to the requested / promised delivery schedule in an effort to maximize customer delivery performance.
2. Monitors and revise, when necessary, ordering parameters in the SAP system. These parameters consist of the
vendor lead times, order multiples, minimum orders, safety stocks and order frequency.
3. Track the vendors shipping performance for both delivery dates and shipment accuracy.
4. Track Past Due's Backlog internally and run to ground with vendors.
5. Communicate with vendors to move inventory to destination.
6. Run and action Planning Reports (MTO Movement, Intercompany Stock Allocation, Minimum Safety Stock
Review.)
7. Master Data scrubbing (Material Forecast loading, Lead time changes, Sourcelist changes)
What will help you thrive in this role?
1. A thorough understanding of purchasing principles and procedures.
2. Two years purchasing experience – preferably in a distribution environment.
3. Experience with SAP software.
4. A minimum of college diploma in Operations Management preferred.
5. Experience with Microsoft Windows (Excel & Word) is a definite asset.
