Job Overview

Responsible for the Eastern Territory (Quebec and Atlantic Provinces), for the specification and sales of all Hubbell Canada products and services

Responsible for:

  • Working with architects, consultants, engineers, and end users in furthering the specifications of Hubbell products.
  • Using lead generation tools to identify target opportunities in Hubbell’s target verticals
  • Development of strong relationships with specifiers and influencers to secure loyalty and product preference for Hubbell products
  • Closure of projects in collaboration with the Regional & Vertical Sales Teams
  • Utilization of Sales Tools (Salesforce) to record, monitor and report on large projects or opportunities.

A Day In The Life

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Maintain Relationships

  • Develop a strong network of end users, specfiers and influencers.
  • Attend and maintain strong relationships at industry networking groups
  • Promote one Hubbell solutions and value propositions.

2. Grow Sales

  • Write and document specifications for all HES products.
  • Assist through specification in closing project business.
  • Manage the sales cylce on projects, from specification to successful order placement.
  • Execute promotional, training and new product initiatives with core specifiers and end users.
  • Understand market segments and verticals opportunities and penetrate them.
  • Apply product features and benefits to provide value add solutions to specifiers and customers.
  • Support price realization in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate with other Hubbell Canada sales and marketing teams to expand sales.

3. Be a Resource to our Customers

  • Learn the competitive advantages of our products and leverage them to win business
  • Understand our competitive strengths and weaknesses and provide market intelligence.
  • Provide High Service and Fast response to customer inquiries.

4. Respresent Hubbell Canada ULC professionally

  • Integrity and Ethics
  • Professional Image under all circumstances
  • Participate in and/or lead local industry associations, tradeshows and events

5. Metrics and Reporting

  • Daily, weekly, monthly reporting as required.
  • Performance to quota planning and execution.
  • Maintain Salesforce information for given region.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Business, Technical Discipline).
  • Minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Valid Driver’s license required - Travel required in Quebec and Atlantic Provinces
  • Bilingual English and French

· Strong written and verbal communications skills.

· Must have strong Microsoft Office, e-mail and other PC application skills, Sales Force.
