Job Overview

Responsible within an assigned geographic territory, for the specification and sales of all HES products and services (sold by Hubbell Canada).

Responsible for: 

  • Working with architects, consultants, engineers, and end users in furthering the specifications of Hubbell products. 
  • Development of strong relationships with specifiers and influencers to secure loyalty and product preference for Hubbell products
  • Closure of projects in collaboration with Business Development and Regional Sales team.
  • Utilization of Sales Tools (Salesforce) to record, monitor and report on large projects or opportunities.

A Day In The Life

  • Develop & Maintain Relationships - A strong network of end users, specifiers & influencers; Attend industry networking groups; Promote Hubbell solutions & value Propositions
  • Grow Sales - Write & document specifications for all HES products; Assist in closing project business; Manage sales cycle on projects; Execute promotional, training & new product initiatives; Understand market segment; Support price realization.
  • Be a Resource to our Customers - Learn competitive advantage of our products & leverage to win business; Understand competitive strengths & weaknesses; Provide high service & fast responses to customers.
  • Represent Hubbell Canada professionally - Integrity & Ethics; Professional Image; Participate in and/or lead industry associations, tradeshows & events.
  • Metrics & Reporting - Reporting as required; Performance to quota; Maintain Salesforce

 

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Business, Technical Discipline).
  • Minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Valid Driver’s license required
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office, e-mail and other PC application skills, Sales Force
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions
  • Works well in group problem solving situations
