Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Work in highly dynamic maintenance department performing preventative maintenance, repairs,
troubleshooting equipment and facility equipment and building issues and a safe and cogent manner.
1. Implement Company safety and break policies, work in a safe manner, follow directions, and wear
company issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Immediately report any unsafe activity,
identify any unsafe facility or equipment issue, and properly lock and tag out.
2. Must have good working knowledge of most facility and production type equipment related to a Polymer
Concrete Manufacturing facility the uses NC computer controlled casting equipment, hydraulic
compression molding presses, FRP spray, large paddle mixing, metal bending punching, forming, bending
and welding equipment, air compressors, and general forklift safety operation and repairs.
3. Must be a self-starter, communicate with, and train other maintenance facility personnel/mechanics.
4. Effectively communicate and follow-up with facility/equipment repair vendors.
5. Effectively communicate and follow-up with internal manufacturing area supervisors/personnel.
6. Take action when unsure of facility and equipment work safety, ask questions when unsure.
7. Keep area clean, follow good housekeeping practices.
8. Maximum Lifting Policy is 50 pounds.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ability to be a self-starter.
2. Ability to work in a group environment, and help others when needed.
3. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions
given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
4. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.

Skills and Experience

1. 3 - 5 years minimum in facilities maintenance.
2. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
3. High school diploma preferred but not required.
