Position Overview

You will lead the strategic development, management, and execution of our continuous improvement objectives. In this hands-on role, you will own the effort to support enterprise warehousing by implementing and sustaining Lean processes aimed at improving efficiency and optimization. Areas of focus will include transaction quality, labor utilization, layout optimization and the use of automation. You will also be responsible for coordinating Lean activities across Enterprise warehouses to drive consistency and optimization. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Lean principles throughout warehousing process. Contribute to and assist with Continuous Improvement/Kaizen activities throughout the HUBS warehousing organization.
  • Identify, plan, manage and execute continuous improvement actions that reduce cost, cycle time, and lead time while increasing safety, quality, and repeatability.
  • Organize and coordinate Kaizen activities, including the planning and execution of Kaizen events/teams which includes the collection and preparation of proper prerequisite data for each kaizen event. Monitor and report on 90-day sustainment of Kaizen event improvements.
  • Evaluate and execute time studies to establish engineering labor standards.
  • Prepare standard work documents for new and existing processes.
  • Lead projects and working teams to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor and close projects.
  • Train employees on Continuous Improvement techniques as needed to assure complete familiarity and ease of use. This includes Principles of Lean Manufacturing, Takt Time, Standard Work, 5S, Standard Layout, Value Stream Mapping and other Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Implement and monitor sustainable daily performance management programs throughout the warehouse.
  • Coach, Train and develop support team to establish and ensure achievement of goals of HUBS warehousing.
  • Support warehousing-wide Safety initiatives.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
     

Skills and Experience

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of warehousing experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years Lean experience (Lean certification is a plus)
  • Time Study and labor standards experience
  • Knowledge of all warehousing related process
  • Warehousing layout optimization experience desired
  • Experience with automation and implementation a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks and projects over a wide range of priorities
  • Able to work with all levels of operational and professional staff
  • Self-motivated and energetic, with ability to lead teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in computer operation (MS Excel, MS Power BI and other MS Office applications)
  • SAP and/or Blue Yonder experience desired
  • Attentive to details and accuracy
  • Good time management skills
  • Multilingual desirable (English Required)
