Job Overview

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in inventory control, warehouse operations, and ERP transactions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting production through effective material management.

A Day In The Life

  • Lead daily warehouse activities and provide guidance and support to warehouse team members.
  • Coordinate and oversee all incoming material receipts, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage, and location management of inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment following 5S principles.
  • Manage and execute the Cycle Count program to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform inventory transactions, receipts, transfers, and adjustments using JD Edwards (JDE).
  • Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Quality teams to ensure material availability and inventory integrity.
  • Train warehouse personnel on receiving, inventory control, and warehouse best practices.
  • Support compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Assist in developing standard work instructions and maintaining process discipline across warehouse operations.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • High School Diploma or GED required;
  • Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of receiving processes, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience conducting and managing Cycle Counts.
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to analyze inventory data and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and customer service.
