Job Overview

The Planner is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity. This role involves creating meticulous schedules, analyzing data for informed decision-making, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of operational plans.

The ideal candidate will possess a continuous improvement mindset, demonstrate the ability to develop and implement planning processes, and leverage data analytics to drive operational performance. This role requires strong forecasting, inventory planning, and reporting capabilities, as well as advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.

  • Developing and managing detailed operational schedules to meet production, service, or project deadlines
  • Collaborating with various departments to gather input and create efficient plans that align with business goals
  • Analyze data, including production metrics, resource availability, and demand forecasts, to inform scheduling decisions.
  • Developing, implementing, and continuously improving planning and scheduling processes to drive operational excellence.
  • Identifying potential bottlenecks or risks and developing contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
  • Optimizing resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and service level
  • Continuously monitoring and adjusting schedules as necessary to adapt to changing priorities or unforeseen circumstances
  • Communicating schedules, forecasts, and planning assumptions effectively across teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Supporting demand planning and forecasting activities through data analysis, trend evaluation, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and KPIs using Excel and Power BI to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Evaluating and improving scheduling processes to enhance overall operational effectiveness

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience (required)
  • Proven experience in operations planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a dynamic environment (required)
  • Experience in planning, forecasting, inventory management, and process improvement within a manufacturing environment. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP), and Power BI, with strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and convey scheduling information clearly
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving operational environment
