Job Overview
The Advanced Assembler I is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical products and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and production requirements. This position requires the ability to interpret blueprints, use precision measuring devices, operate assembly equipment, and perform quality inspections to ensure products meet customer and company specifications.
A Day In The Life
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical products and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, routings, and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and production documentation to ensure accurate assembly and product quality.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring devices and visual inspection techniques.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, assembly fixtures, presses, and other manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
- Identify and report quality, material, equipment, or process issues to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and safety documentation as required.
- Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Two or more years of manufacturing assembly experience, preferably involving mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical products.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Ability to accurately read and use measuring devices, including rulers and tape measures.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, assembly fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform inspections and verify product quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions throughout the workday.
