Job Overview
Hubbell is seeking visionary Vice President, to join our executive team and play a leading role in Operational Excellence initiatives for the enterprise. The ideal candidate will work closely with Global, Segment and Business Unit leadership to streamline Operations. Focusing on: enhancing productivity, spearheading our plant automation enhancements and CAPEX, leading the strategic vision as it pertains to restructuring and acquisitions, and ensuring that our business processes (LEAN) are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.
The preferred candidate should possess strong interpersonal, leadership, technical, analytical, communication and program leadership skills, entrepreneurial traits and experience leading complex interdisciplinary programs with technical deliverables; along with a passion to contribute to a hands-on role with a dynamic range of projects.

A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:
- Being a thought partner to the Global Ops, Segment Ops, Segment and Business Unit Leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for operational excellence that aligns with the company’s overall strategic goals.
- Assist in governing Business Processes outside and within factories and warehouses, following Global Best Practices defined within Hubbell.
- Help drive innovation around continuous improvement focused on increased operations and plant productivity, as well as cost reductions.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate operational excellence across Hubbell’s diverse plant locations in the US and non-US sites.
- Help drive initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence and best practices, including automation, process improvement, and quality management.
- Lead Hubbell’s “footprint optimization” efforts to align both current synergies within our locations, as well as being active in exploring new ventures to optimize growth and extend market share that compliments Hubbell’s long-term vision.
- Work with partners to establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational processes.
- Create a strategy and execution plans to continue to drive consistent LEAN Methodology’s throughout the Hubbell locations and work with business partners for the effectiveness of our Hubbell Manufacturing System (HMS).
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure operational departments are in full compliance with Hubbell Internal Controls through a documented system of policies, procedures and delegation of authority.
- Oversee the implementation of new technologies and systems designed to streamline operations as agreed upon with partners.
- Assist in managing budgets and forecasts related to operational activities, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to drive predictability in forecasting/planning in various business cycles.
- Facilitate training and development programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in operational excellence.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in operational management and introduce innovative ideas and solutions.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering Management or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in operational management or a related role, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position including multi-plant leadership.
- Proven track record of improving operations and driving substantial growth in previous companies. International experience a plus
- Deep understanding of LEAN manufacturing, budgeting, and business operations
- SAP experience that supports the full life cycle of Operations Processes is a plus
- Fluent written and verbal communication in Spanish is plus
- Ability to travel 50-75% both US and International Hubbell locations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and matrixed environment
