Position Overview
The Hubbell Enterprise Marketing (HEM) Manager, Brand Marketing helps shape our company’s outward image. With a passion for brand and branding, they work with Hubbell business leader’s enterprise-wide to build our brand platforms and activate them in the marketplace. They work across all levels and departments of our organization to discover what makes Hubbell unique, help define what we stand for, and communicate it to the world.
The Manager supports corporate brand strategy including brand positioning and associated metrics, brand architecture, brand education, brand portfolio management, corporate identity and naming, and end-to-end brand campaign integration from communications strategy to in-market communications. They work with the Market Research and Insights team to uncover consumer insights and deliver innovative marketing strategies and campaigns. They help define what can attract our customers and prospects and how we can improve customer experience. They are creative, possess a strategic mind and implement targeted brand campaigns ultimately helping Hubbell improve our company’s reputation and drive growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and motivate a diverse team of marketing professionals working on brand initiatives
- Analyze brand positioning and consumer insights
- Translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies
- Guide creative development to motivate the target audience to “take action”
- Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates
- Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess ROI and KPIs
- Work with the Research & Insights team to monitor brand health, market trends, research consumer markets and understand competitor activities
- Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities
- Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices and tactics
- Help shape and communicate our vision and mission
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that attracts and retains top talent
- Participate in and provide the team regular opportunities for professional development
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
- 7+ years of proven working experience as a Brand Manager
- Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to executives
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns
- Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
- Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
- Data-driven thinking and an affinity for numbers
- Outstanding communication skills
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and marketing best practices
- The ability to work with little to no supervision to deliver high quality work
