Position Overview

Responsible for maintaining building and grounds in top condition to ensure full and productive use of facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

Core Competency Requirements


  • Perform maintenance and janitorial duties to ensure upkeep and appearance of the facility and grounds.
  • Maintain appearance of breakroom before and after breaks and lunch periods.
  • Trash removal inside and out of facility
  • Vacuum, dust, sweep and mop facility as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining the proper function of all building equipment, heating and cooling systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and other related building systems.
  • Assist in grounds maintenance to ensure general exterior aesthetics.
  • Assess needs, trouble-shoot situations and assist with problem solving, reporting all problems and concerns to the Maintenance Manager on a timely basis for evaluation.
  • Assist with repair and replacement of building structures (carpentry, painting, windows, door locks, etc.)
  • Assist with completion of repair and replacement projects.
  • Responds to requests for cleanup of spills and accidents (including bodily fluids) using proper procedures and techniques to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Follows Hubbell policies and code of conduct.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned.

Skills and Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some technical school education preferred.
  • Minimum of one-three years related experience
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance related areas.
  • Ability and current license to drive.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to various levels in the company.
  • Work is performed both indoors and out and may require travel to various locations.
