Job Overview
The Project Manager/Engineering leads complex projects that generally have been assigned high corporate priority.
This position will support the PQS (Power Quality Solutions) division of Hubbell. The PQS division produces standard and custom transformers up to 1250 KVA as well as high power resistors used in dynamic braking and grounding systems. The Project Manager will be responsible for tracking and leading projects for this growing business segment. In addition, the Project Manager will work closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Sales personnel, ensuring projects are completed successfully and on time.

- Providing subject matter expertise in areas including project management, setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on professional knowledge and background.
- Assisting team in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.
- Managing relationships with project stakeholders including conducting planning sessions to define project scope and performance expectations.
- Making presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results.
- Ensuring projects are completed on time and in scope.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- PMI/CPM certification preferred
- 6-10 years of project management experience (required)
- Experience within SAP or other ERP business systems preferred
- Knowledge of business systems and applications, such as Microsoft Project or Project Server (required)
- Knowledge of business processes across all functional areas is preferable with a good working knowledge of how Master Data is critical to effective business process execution
Additional desired skills
- Knowledge of transformers, resistors, or other related electro mechanical devices
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
